When my kids get older, it will be up to them to decide what they believe or don't believe. Its not up to me to try and sway them one way or the other...

Parents have the responsibility of introducing their children to God. However once the child becomes a certain age they can make their own choice. I'm sure this would be very hurtful to a parent. I don't understand the thinking of Atheists. when see the beauty of creation everyday. When I look at how beautiful we as humans have be created. Everything is in the right place. what if we had one eye on our foreheads and another on the side of our heads. what if we only had two fingers? what if we only had one arm on the right side of our bodies and one leg on the left side?
Their are sound reason for believing in God
Plms. 19:1 "The heavens are declaring the glory of God; and of the work of his hands the expanses is telling."
Plms. 104:24 "How many your works are, O Jehovah! All of them in wisdom you have made. The earth is full of your productions"
Rms. 1:20 " his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creations onward, because they are perceived by the things made."
The Bible also shows that God is real
Heb. 9:24 " Christ entered...into the heaven itself, now to appear before the person of God for us."
The Bible has all the answers for us, But we also have been given free will by God he does not force us to serve him or believe that he is real. At the same time we are accountable for our choices.

Dear Sarah,
If you came from a real Christian home where your parents loved you and loved God and you turned atheist, then I am sure you know how I would feel as a parent because your parents feel the same way - saddened, grief-stricken but ever-hopeful that you will turn back to God.
god bless

Generally, children don't just convert to atheism on the drop of a hat. They befriend atheists, become curious and don't have good parents to turn to, or simply practice a form of Christianity that is so sheepish...everything atheists say sounds true to them.

I come from a strong Christian background and I'm an atheist.
My mother believes that I've just hit a " roadblock" and that I'll eventually come back to my faith. Although it's been years now. LOL
In the meantime she loves and accepts all of me.

Tell them about how hot hell really is and that atheist really do believe in GOD because it is in all of us that God does exist, HELL is a HOT HOT HOT place, there is no medium between heaven and hell no happy spot in between, it is either Jesus Christ or the devil, is he chose the devil I would go through the same issues over and over again because I love him and you too much to let you burn, accept Jesus Christ and no ohers for there are no others.

how would i feel? oh i would be devastated! faith and religion is part of who i am. if ever my kinds would become atheists, i would feel that i am a failure as a mom, and as a human being. i have witnessed how faith changed me and saved me, i know i am nothing without faith, and that is what i would want to share with my children. i
