1/2 of those who were infected died. Even when treated.
This may be a joke to some but the media definately isn't over-reacting this time.
As an animal lover I can respect the heart break in losing animals, but just wait till your family starts dying.
You better hope this mess gets cleaned up.
Compared to F & M this is being handled very badly.

With F&M the prevention is too expensive to use and doesn't cover all the strains. The bird flu has killed something like 164 people in the last 3 1/2yrs so I think panicking is over-reaction but being aware is vitally important. and because of the F&M outbreak the government is naturally very cautious. The media do tend to be scaremongers too. Plus with F&M it is devastating to see gentle animals such as cows and lambs being culled as prevention,I know I've been there and it is truly heartbreaking,so it's not just financial for us.
That's just my personal opinion.

I truly dont trust any authorities may pick to destabilise or get rid of an marketplace like farming. It makes no economic experience and may positioned the variety of hollow interior the country's funds that it would want to under no circumstances be filled. perhaps the authorities were accountable of lifting the circulate ban somewhat too early, although, the rigidity to do this got here from the farmers themselves. It should be troublesome for the farmers even as they have inventory waiting to flow to marketplace trapped on their farms by way of a circulate ban. although, the nationwide circulate of farm animals encmpasses the completed of the united kingdom and the tracing of such moves is a time eating count. Afraid the farmers will only should be affected human being in the experience that they pick their marketplace to live on and mood their vocal output with the concept that many human beings, after the outbreak of BSE, have under no circumstances lengthy gone lower back to utilising British produce. provided that some imported pink meat etc (noticeably New Zealand) tastes a strategies extra perfect and is extra perfect high quality, then the united kingdom farmers can ought to detect the thanks to be sensible of their criticisms.

Bird flu has killed less than 200 people worldwide. There are no proven cases of person-to-person spread. All the people who have died worked with birds, lived in close proximity to infected birds or were involved in the cull. It's just not worth worrying about right now. You're hundreds of times more likely to die of cancer, heart disease, AIDS or even in a plane crash.
