he is probably feeling a little sick. remember back when you got vaccines? the doctor would always tell your mom to watch out over the next few days cause you can get stuff like a fever etc. from the inactive bacteria that is shooting though your viens. Just let him rest and he should be fine. however, if this has been going for a little while ( like a week) call/take him to the vet. cause it may be somehting serious.

Fellow sheltie owner. I am assuming that by the brief description of the problem, he/she is a young dog? First, I would ask your vet if the problem persists. He/She could have had an allergic reaction to the shots.
On the other hand, shelties are know for being smart, loving, gentle, shy, and most of all fiercely loyal. He may be simply needing more attention, or searching for an alpha-male companion (Dog's do better when they know who is in control, it makes them feel secure).
Shelties are of the herding breed and need to run, ie... lots of exercise. Suggestion...if you are not the energetic type, a good game of frisbee can quickly become a very therapeutic remedy to the problem.

Having had lots of dogs, yes, I've seen the hard lump at an injection site, like for the vaccines, and it is possible for a dog to contract the illness he's being vaccinated against. Both my Rottweiler pups got Parvo after vaccination. One died of it, one lived. Watch carefully, don't hesitate to see a vet!

First take your dog back to the vet and read the link below. I have never had it go on for more than a day.

Vaccinations...Too Many, Too Often?
As time goes on, new recommendations will be made by the veterinary profession.
Be sure to consult with your own veterinarian regarding this issue of vaccinations for dogs and cats
because suggested protocols can change as newer knowledge is gained.

If I'm reading this right, he was vaccinated 2 weeks ago? If so, take him back to the vet and have some blood work done. It could be vaccinosis.
