He broke the law (tax evasion) and is paying the penalty.
Most importantly, he has brought MANY lost souls to Christ through his teaching of the lies of evolution. The skeptics will point to his tax evasion and think that proves his creationism teachings are false. In what way? They have NOTHING to do with each other.
You see, even born again Christians will fall into sin,for Satan is always there to tempt us. He doesn't need to tempt the unbelievers for he has them where he wants them already.
As long as brother Hovind has asked God's forgiveness for his sin (s) , that's ALL that matters. We are not put on this earth to please mankind.
Btw, his son Eric Hovind has taken over his ministry. We saw him at a local rally last October and it was overflowing with people that came to hear the truth of the Bible and the utter lies of EVILution.

Kent is a great teacher and has brought many people to Christ. Christians all sin and have to pay the consequences for it. God still loves him and forgives him for his sin. We should do the same because we are all sinners saved by grace. I am sure that Kent will make the best of incarceration and bring many prisoners to the Lord.
