Support him. You do remember that many pro football players take ballet classes?
Ballet is more physically stressful than any other endeavor. If he is interested in the arts, appreciate him.

He's found himself a lady or a guy he's attracted too. I'd attend the classes with him, unless you want him out of your life.

i'd say; 'whoo hoo! someone to finally dance with me!!!'
i'd also be suprised considering mine races motorbikes, but thrilled he was willing to try something different.
i love a guy who can dance!
