Health is Physical as well as Mental.Yes,MNC companies do look out for a well-built body. This is not only for the gents !The student should first change his mental set-up;make it stronger to withstand Criticism.Okay, he has a thin body,so what ? He can easily add on more weight ( what with all the junk-food eaten these days!!)Tell him to join a good gym in his locality & then watch his body shape-up!He can stop crying like a baby & put an end to his suicide-attempts ! These negative traits show a Weak Mental attitude.Let the First job Let-down be his stepping stone to Success(Physically ,Mentally & Career-wise).All the Best !

Within the United States, Europe, Japan, or Australia, a person wouldn't be turned down for being too thin, and serious health issues tend to be taken care of by social security. However, I would have no idea what's going on over in India. But if employment is so crazy over there, I can see exactly why the U.S. has many immigrants from India.

It depends upon the nature of job. MNCs need people who are physically strong and good looking. In marketing one may have to travel a lot and should have sound health. In manufacturing plants, strong heath is extremely important to act fast and deal with the situation.

although it can not be considered as a major issue but according to me the main problem was what you said that he had tried to finish his life. from a person who has such a degree under his belt no one would tolerate such a silly step which is under any circumstances avoidable and deniable. so there is no problem with his health but the problem is his thoughts toward himself because when he himself has such a mentality toward himself then why will other care?
