The best weight loss is done with both exercise and diet changes. It is also the most lasting.
I can lose a 1/2 stone in a week but it is drastic and everybody has different metabolism and starting diet / level of exercise which is different.
I've lost tons but always eat breakfast, I just change what and when I eat. I probably consume 1/2 of my normal intake.
I exercise every day, even if it's just more walking than normal. I go no more than 1 day without 1 hour minimum of fast aerobic exercise. I eat the 1st meal later in the day and eat tons more fibre. I exercise very early in the day, to get my metabolism into gear for the day. I may do even more, in the afternoon/early evening. My preference is 2 to 2.5 hours exercise a day.
I only consume fat free milk and much less than normal.
I eat eggs, but only the whites.
My intake of fruit and veg goes way up.
I eat no convenience foods or treats like chocolate.
1 day a week I go a little easier, to rest my body, but still no more than 1500 calories.
When peckish/starting to get hungry i drink loads of water.
No alcohol allowed (nasty!!!!!)
I give myself loads of sleep as I am demanding alot from my body. I avoid any stress in my life too.

Firstly we need to address this question. I "need" to lose a stone. Surely you mean "want to". I'm sure there is no one with a gun pointed at your head telling you to lose a stone. If there is and your life really is in danger then cut your limbs off.
Questions like this really annoy me. If you are a stone overweight it is because it has taken time to get like that. Whether it is through childbirth or simply not enough exercise or eating too much - it's not gone on in 3 weeks has it?
It takes the same amount of time to lose weight as it does to put it on - healthily. What you are asking is not healthy. You are trying to hurt your body by starving it and putting into shock all for what - other people's opinions? Then once you've lost the weight you're quite happy to order up the pizza and carry on - until what - the next time you feel you don't live up to other people's expectations of you?
Wake up and smell the coffee. You are not going to be thin in 3 weeks time. You need to "eat less and exercise more". Not much more I can add to that but it really works - for everyone. You'll lose weight at a rate of about 2 lbs a week to be healthy - any more than that and you are messing with your metabolism.
You also sound like you have psychological issues with your body if you are happy to hurt your body to get positive feedback from your peers. Perhaps you should buy some lovely clothes which flatter your body shape as it is. Get your hair done and walk tall with your head in the air. If you think you are beautiful and you will look beautiful. There are plenty of ugly skinny women out there - being thin doesn't make you beautiful.

Karanrauli - you should not listen to any of these other people except sarge927 I am training as personal trainer and everything that sarge927 is saying is completely true, another diet that is so good and so effective is 5:2 diet - 2 days a week 500 calories - 3 meals a day all under 500 calories, it is so simple, I have been doing this recommended diet for over 2 months as well as healthy eating and exercise daily and I have lost over 2 stone. in a very healthy way. I feel absolute great. give it a try DO NOT EAT NOTHING OR DO FAD DIETS THAT AREN'T RECOMENED IT DOES NOT WORK & YOU BECOME MORE OVER WEIGHT THAN BEFORE

Starve yourself and you still wont loose a stone in three weeks.
What on earth posessed you write an queation like that.
Are you getting married and dont fit into the attire.
It is very dangerous loosing so much weight quickly. YOu may end up in hospital instead o fwhat ever it is that u are loosing the weight for.
YOUR attitude is one of DESPERATION. I think that you need to see a shrink.

Gee Wiz not sure if that is healthy to lose so quickly. But reckon got to be done so can be done. I would say eat fresh and run, run, run cardio all the way. Atkins good we had a lorry driver on the atkins & he lost weight like you wouldn't believe. Stones here there etc.

apart from some speed and other drugs, prob quite hard. there are tabs in holland and barret just now called phase 2. i just got them i need to lose 2 stone in 4 month, so at least mine is acheivable, these tabs block absorbtion of carbs, so if you were to eat normaly as you would without any high sugar juices and cakes and choc you should see a slight improvment, also cider vinegar tabs are good, just drink plenty water, do NOT starve yourselve as your metabolism wil slow right down and you will lose nothing, why dont you try one of them wraps you get in some beauty places. they claim to loss inches , but i think its just excess water.

become me. i lost half a stone in a night because i hav such a high motabalism (no idea how you spell that) i wouldnt recomend you trying to loose that amount in 3 weeks cos it could be unhealty but to loose as much weight as you can eat low calorey foods in small portions but not so small you starve yourself
