Atheists have a deep need to prove that they are more intelligent than believers but will find themselves ignored for the most part.
People who believe in nothing , celebrate nothing ,have no traditions to mark important life events etc are not very interesting to talk to. I think there is some deep void in their life they are trying to fill.
So in order to get attention they pepper believers with blasphemy to get them riled up and spark a debate. The nonsense they spew is just a trap ignore them.

I suppose the same question could be asked of you! If you are so secure in your belief of God, why all the panic? If you are truly a Christian you would have read 'The Good Book'!?! '..don't throw your pearls to the swine..'
If you truly believe your Christian walk, you would be asking a question that didn't sound as if you question your faith! To an Atheist, your God does not exist. So to do battle with someone who thinks that you are following and worshiping a 'Man' is a bit redundant! To some, Jesus was and interesting man at best! To some, the Bible is nothing more than a History book! To some, a person who follows and believes everything written in this book is a bit odd! To some!
Don't battle against those that don't believe, but battle for those who do! Teach those that don't know and lead those who will follow! You only manage to convince people who do not believe in your God, that what they say is the truth, mainly because of questions like this one. Your anger is apparent and if you want a person to truly believe that there is a God, stop sounding so defensive!
Good Luck

I would venture to say that atheists, in particular, operate under a couple of frustrating misconceptions about the nature of humans.
"The truth will set you free", and the expectation that others are, at the most basic level, like us - that their internal reality is similar to ours. (I'm using this terminology for the sake of clarity - I am not, myself, an atheist)
If you are convinced that knowing the provable facts of a situation will result in acceptance of those facts, and that concurrently there will be an abandonment of any conflicting beliefs, then you think that if you can just get everyone to see those facts, they will change.
So you keep pounding away at it, thinking that they just don't understand the facts. When you're faced with what you can only think of as stubborn resistance to the facts (as exemplified by others continuing to believe differently then you do), you start to see that resistance as stupidity, as an inability to understand the facts.
That's when the insults start.
But as to "blasphemous", well, you really are going to have to accept that what you consider blasphemy is, in the view of atheists, an attempt to wake you up to facts.
~sigh~
The truth is that others are not like us. And it serves no one to expect that they are, or that we can convince them to be.
As you might be able to extrapolate, the above two sentences apply to religious people as well,.

i'm an atheist because i do not trust in gods. What may data of a god no longer cutting-edge seem as if? may it perhaps seem as if: truly no data that they do? The universe giving each and every indication of being a organic incidence? Prayers no longer being replied and authentic believers ravenous to lack of existence? ailment, parasites which feed on human eyeballs cutting-edge? different cultures having different gods which percentage their values somewhat than an similar god being chanced on through folk everywhere as occurs with issues which do exist? countless the worlds species having lengthy gone extinct? Asteroids, organic disaster, intense drought, famine, flood hitting earth and destroying existence? human beings having developed from different existence varieties which no god ever has pronounced? No god ever understanding issues the human beings did not comprehend and getting countless stuff incorrect? some gods being witnessed being invented - see shipment cults?

They cannot be secure with the belief based on dust. The more they learn, the more they will realize that there must be something more mysterious and more powerful than dust. There are already many atheists who repent and become devoted believers.

I see plenty of bashing by both sides. If you are secure in what you stand for, then you should be able to calmly discuss your differences like adults. To me the insults show insecurity on both sides. Also, when one isn't secure in what he/she believes, he/she can't handle anyone questioning or having any beliefs that differ.

Because it makes people feel good to insult and prove their superiority over others. They need to validate their own personal worth at the expense of other people. Because they aren't secure at all.

If christians and other religions are so secure in their beliefs, why all the horrible, rude, scathing comments about atheists? When you point a finger, 3 fingers are still pointing back at you.

People of faith come here to have a discussion about God. Atheists come here to taunt and ridicule things that they don't understand. They need to get a life.

Because there is no God they don't consider it blasphemous and I suppose if you didn't preach to non believers then they wouldn't insult you!
You don't see Jewish people preaching to everyone, no, they keep it to themselves, same as Hindus, Buddhists and Raelians.
Stop preaching and you won't get people ridiculing you back!
