There's so many out there, and I'll tell you which ones me and my family has used...
Typing Pro; for adult typers. It's not that it's content is "adult" it's just not very fun.
Timon and Pumba'sTyping Adventure by Disney. It's very fun for kids and adults (if you don't mind playing Disney games)
Captain Keyboard Space Adventure. I think this one stinks and so does my kids.
I found that Target has a very good learning software section and Best Buy is better for finding DVD's and games.

Depends on what you're doing with it. My experience is if wanting to share my work with others [attachment doc.] Microsoft Word works for more people I'd send to than Microsoft Works. Writing for newspapers, however, Works has fonts my version of Word doesn't... and I've needed to match my editors' size/type of font.
Both Works and Word work for me - just differently, for different uses - and when Word is copy/pasted into Works there's a big difference in how it gets formatted. Recently had to do much extra editing to get Word doc. to fit same space as a Works doc.
