My friend with whom I grew up with since birth started going to a
church a few years ago. I knew this church was part of the christian coaltiion but my friend and her husband have given so much of their income to the church that they are now needing financial help and she is allienating her grown children and her family because she does not deem them "christians". The only people she talks with belong to this church and only speaks to her parents when things get so bad she has to ask for money. The worry is making her mother sick and her father is very angry at the "church" for brain washing his daughter. I thought these so called mainstream churches were there to help people seek salvation not separete themselves from society. What can I do?

I think The Jehovah Witnesses is a cult because it started of with this guy getting followers to go pray in a field because he thought the end of the world was comming and it never came, and that was about a hundred years ago. You ruin peoples lives like my mom's and i've heard enough from her to know that this seems like a cult to me, and isn't there something in this cult that has to do with honoring men. Everyone thinks the jehovah witnesses are a cult so just live with it!

Jehovah Witnesses are not a cult. we live in 236 lands and live in our own home. a cult lives together and does what a man wants, like jim jones, charles manson. we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ. I am tired of people saying we are a cult. learn what a cult is. we do not solicit either. I guess people would say Jesus started the cult. we don't give money to anyone, only if we want. a cult takes your money and you are left with nothing. we pay bills and rent and gas for our gas and come and go where ever we want. a cult cannot do anything

As far as i know there really is nothing you can do.
its very sad that man has take religion to use it as a money making machine or a power player in politics.
I really hope your friends get out of this and i hope this is a lesson for everyone who reads this.
If you have to pay tithes to a church don't go there and if there is any pressure at all to give money don't go there. God doesn't need your money and he will not bless you with money for giving money that is not how it works.
God want your heart and that is it. he wants you to love your fellow man/woman but more importantly him.
The money given in the Old Testament was for the priesthood because it was a fulltime job to run the Tabernacle.
All the apostles worked during there ministry and payed their own way because they didn't want their reward now.
Paid ministry bad: the love of money corrupts
figure heads paid or not: Bad because power corrupts
involved with politics: Bad once again power corrupts
man might start out with all good intentions but over time he tends to loose sight of what he stands for, you see it in politics all the time.
Think about it!

Yes it may be a cult like 7 adventist and Jehovah Witness and may be Satanic cult pls report it to the authority if anything seems wrong be careful

Nothing theyre being brainwashed All you can do is pray for them...
I have no contact anymore with my JW aunt....she cant hear me...all she does is judge aeveryone!!
