Despite whether they think they know how to or not.

When there's wildlife rehabilitators around who are educated, have experiences, are LICENSED to do this. And with the outcome of being successful at raising said animal, most times?

And I mean when there's a rehab within reasonable distance.

Do you mean regular folks attempting rehabilitation?

Maybe the animals have a chance for life than without them.
Maybe because there are so many more people out there hunting and just killing wildlife intentionally (for kicks?) or unintentionally (urban sprawl).
NOT every community has licenced wildlife rehabilitators!
Not all vets are helpful to wildlife...they don't make money from them. 'The needle' isn't much of a chance to live is it?

I've helped and released several animals throughout my life (only two deaths, their injuries were too severe...broken back and gun shot)...only last year I gave some young ones to a rehab centre which was relatively new and I had to drive an hour to get there.
Personally, I've always approached it with respect and love. The animal's comfort was always priority as with our own safety. We had the space and basic equipment to help and knowledge from experience of family & neighbours, books, television and vet appointments with many pets. Although I do agree some people may not be realistic or sensitive enough to handle wildlife.

A few years ago in my community were reports of rehabilitators (just working out of their home) that were charged with animal neglect... animals starved in the cages...very appauling.
Doesn't motivate a regular person to take them there does it?
I knew I could provide the care and attention needed at that time.

Now that there is a centre within driving distance.. that's where any wildlife in danger that I find will be going...If it were closer to where I live I'd probably volunteer there. I have confidence in my abilities...and sure who wouldn't need more education?

Don't think I think I'm 'all that'... Sometimes you have to do things yourself when there isn't other help around...you find a way, right?

I get upset at people who actually raise something like phesants to release only for the purpose to be followed and shot.
Try not to be angry at people trying to help...at least they are proactive.

Just my opinion.

we are to convey our children up interior the reverence and admonition of the Lord. What they do even as they become older is the position their free will is presented in. this is truly no different than someone who's no longer Christian elevating their newborn to be an ethical man or woman. you may want to say they were implementing THEIR conception in a strict moral code antagonistic to the newborn's "free will". Sorry chum, that canine do not hunt.

Because they're too separated from nature and regard it as a Disney fantasy.
