I have a line chart set up, it looks great, but the labels on the bottom (horizontal) axis only show the peaks. In the original excel-sheet, the dips are labelled also. How do I get the names of the dips to show up on the chart????

If you plot too many data, labels will show for every other data. It just so happens that they are peaks which led you to the wrong conclusions. Label them manually. Select the peaks and the dips that are important, right click and select the data label text, set options accordingly.
