i took careful precautions to ensure that it didn't yellow (it started out a beautiful ivory color), wrapped it in the white sheet and everything. it was stored very carefully. i never bothered getting it out again until now because it only needed VERY minor alterations, and now just over a month till my wedding, it looks AWFUL! it has entirely beaded straps and all sorts of bead work, so it can NOT be washed, even by professionals! please tell me someone knows of a place (and you can just say that David's Bridal or similar works well in this situation) where i can buy a new one for somewhere in the 500-600 range?! i got a great deal on the 1st dress (maybe this was WHY!) so im not worried about it going to waste (although i did LOVE it, i have seen many others i love too). anyway, is david's good for short notice? i know they have the prices, but if i can get away w/ little-no alterations, will i be able to get a dress there or anywhere else you can think of?

Talk to different drycleaners - you never know until you try.
Don't know what could have happened; must have been the material.
Mine has been hanging in a closet, in a light plastic garment bag, for almost 18 years and hasn't changed colour at all. It is white, heavy bridal satin, with lace appliques, beading, sequins, and crystals. Maybe it's the quality that makes the difference (no offense).
Wish you luck.

I would be careful about David's Bridal. I read in several different places that while they do offer great prices, they are terrible on service...particularly on time frames. If you DO go to David's Bridal, I would tell a little white lie about my wedding date. Tell them that it's much sooner than it really is to make sure they understand how quickly you need it!

davids bridal does have some lovely inexpensive dresses. but also check out alfred angelo dresses, AMAZING and very reasonably priced. you can use theknot.com to look at dresses in the collection and find a retailer near you. first though, take your dress to a cleaner who specializes in this kind of work and see what they say. it would be terrible to waste what you spent on your dress

David's is good, especially if you can find a sample on sale. I got my dress there, and it was reduced from $700 to $200. Also try other places for floor samples.

I would definitely take it to a good dry cleaners and see what they think. They see a lot of stuff. And if this takes care of the problem it would be a cheap fix and definitely worth your time.

supposed you wrapped it in a blue sheet not in a white sheet. take it to a dry clean and they will solve it for u!!! cause my mum she had the same problem but on my communion dress, and she came white as it was before
