If the first guy dated you just once, and the date ended before bedtime, or never dated you at all then it is probably OK.
If you dated him multiple times, or ever slept with him then it's best you stay away from his friend. Nothing can break up a good friendship like a girl. And if that happens the guy will be bitter at some point.
