This may sound like a funny question but i always have trouble putting on my 15 month old shoes on! He has quite wide feet and its always a struggle to put them on. They fit him once there on but its actually getting them on is the problem!

I open them as much as I can, then I sit my son on my lap and get them on that way. Then after they are on I tell him to stand up and stomp into them, lol. It also helps if you find wider shoes, or ones that are loose around the top. I pay around $70 for a pair of shoes for my son, but they go on so much easier and it's worth it in my opinion! :) Good luck

Buying bigger helps too... I get 1 size up from his actual foot size. And he seems to walk alright in them!

My son has very wide feet too. I now buy velcrose strap sneakers & sandles that open right up so it's easy to get the foot in & easy to tighten it up again. Also you can get shoes especially fitted for children, although it does work out to be alot more expensive (but worth it if you can afford it).

Open the laces/opening as wide as you can.
Sit on the floor, with your legs stretched out in front of you and have your son sit on your legs in the same position.
Then put his toes in his shoes and push them slowly towards the front of it.
With one hand, guide his foot in, with the other, hold the base of the shoe and push up and backwards as you push down and forwards with the guiding hand...
It works for my daughter!
