Depends on what your thoughts are about getting up at 3am and taking him out for a poop or a wee. Also will you be prepared to walk him for 2 hours a day EVERY day ?? If you can honestly say yes to those questions then it shouldnt be a problem although I do feel its best to have a dog in a house with a garden he can go in and out of xxxx

I personally believe that it depends on the owner. I have a dog, and so do some of my friends who either live in apartments or have and our dogs are happy and healthy. If you take them out often for a good run and play then I think a dog is just fine in a flat. Some dogs need to have more exercise than others so a owner has to recognize this and be fair to the animal. I have a small dog and he would go for a least for one good walk a day but usually I aimed for two. If you are thinking of getting a dog for a flat, I'd suggest something smaller and not an active breed so they can adjust better. I have a cockapoo and he was a wonderful guy in the apartment.

I don't Think its wrong. I have a dog and live in a flat and she has th whole balcony to run on and she is took for long walks at least 4 times a day and she is a very happy loving dog. There are hundred's possibly more of dogs & puppies looking for a loving home and Rspca will not rehome them to people living in big flats and that is why there is So Many that are still looking for homes and then the Rspca have no choice but to put many of them to sleep because the lack of homes.

you need to have a look at your Lease for the property - it may be a clause in the Lease that you are not allowed any pets or not allowed certain pets - this is very important to clarify this as you could loss your leasehold title to the flat if you dont abide by the Lease covenants etc. I know this as I work for a solicitors.
Apart from that it should be fine to have a dog in a flat but obviously could be an animal welfare issue if the dog is kept in all day with no outside accessibility (i.e. a garden) so would be best to have the dog with someone who has a garden during the day or as long as you go home every lunchtime to take it for a walk

No it's not wrong but depending on the type of dog you have (or want) will deterime how much exercise it will need. A dog that is not properly exercised will have behavior problems. Do some research on the breed. All dogs need walks. If it is a high energy level dog and you are not into jogging 4-6 miles a day take him to a safe enclosed area and play fetch for 1/2 hour every day to burn off excess energy. A tired dog is a well behaved dog.

Of course it isn't wrong to keep a dog in a flat, so long as it gets 2-3 walks a day and out for a wee last thing at night it's not a problem.

It's according to the type of dog and also your schedule. If you are home alot and can take it out to go to the bathroom and to get plenty of exercise. What size dog? A large dog might be a problem but a small dog may be ok. You just really must make decision about how much time and effort you are willing to spend. A dog will be your best friend. But you must be his best friend too!

I live in a flat with my girlfriend an a 18 month old boxer( had since a pup) it isnt a problem, he has free run of the flat, he's fully trained so doen't chew, hasn't gone to toilet in flat since about 12 weeks old... its harder in a flat but you just need to spend a little more time with him. Mine gets taken out for a walk at 0600 for about 30 mins before i go to work... my girlfriend takes him out during the day for a short walk, sometimes twice... and then he gets a 45 - 60 minute walk through a forst near me at about 10 at night... he has plenty of toys to play with and seems very happy... however were moving to a house soon so im gonna buy him a girlfriend as we'll have more room...

Depends on what type of dog. Some need space to run, some dont. If you have a dog with alot of energy its ok to keep in in a flat as long as you go for a run with it. Usually energetic dogs need 2hrs of exercise a day.

Hi, I'm Chris Yap. I think keeping a dog in the flat is not wrong. But, your dog mustn't keep outside the house of yours because maybe there are Malays region that live near you. You know right! Malays cannot touch a dog. So, if your dog is a very big dog, I hope you wouldn't mind I say this. It is not suitable because large dogs are normally more naughtier and it needs a big compound to rest. The small one will do...
