It's simple: Make a label and lay it out like this:

NAME

ADDRESS
:
CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER

WHICH FLIGHT YOU ARE GOING ON

THE AIRLINE YOU'RE FLYING WITH

When I flew into McCarren, I saw that many people has tied or pinned colored ribbons to their bag. Others actually decorated their bag (which made it look like a kindergarten project!) You never know how many other people have your type of bag till you get there.

I'd definitely tie something to it (like a ribbon), which is unnoticeable, but not TOO noticeable. If you don't do enough, or nothing, you'll miss your bag the first time (like I did). On the other hand, if it's too "glitzy" it could be a target for the less-than-honest.

And yes, be sure to tag them with your personal info, at least on the inside, so if it ever gets lost, the airport knows how to contact/find you.
