I have a speech problem though it is a natural habit. I developed this problem 5 years ago. I don't want to try any speech therapy course as I am confident enough to solve this problem on my own. But How should I begin? Please guide.... I would be thankful to all of you. Though I don't stop much while speaking but It has affected my personality.

Try singing a lot. People who stutter can learn to improve thier speech by singing.

Dear,

I love the singing answer. I say: Live the question and check out hypnosis tapes to help your confidence and your speech issue. What is the issue here? Because 95 % of the population does not stutter we think that it is not normal. Maybe stuttering is normal and the others speech is abnormal. Maybe it is either normal or abnormal? EFT emotional freedom technique is another way of dealing with it. It sounds like your answers are heading towards you. Exiting and enjoy. Here are the addresses for your wish to help your self. See source. Good luck.

You stutter step cuz you're afraid you wont get your maximum acceptable lead leg over the hurdle... you want to attitude the hurdle at finished speed, and also you also ought to practice alternating legs in practice, cuz it is going to ensue quicker or later even as your steps are off, and also you dont wanna sluggish all the way down to stutter step...have self belief me, it is more effective to hurdle with the leg that reaches the hurdle first than stutter step...cuz u lose time contained in the race with stutter stepping..each and every millisecond counts!! have self belief me...i study from my beastly coach...yet loopy

Visit the web site of The Stuttering Foundation of America at www.stutteringhelp.org. Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" as well as their tips helped several of my uncles and cousins who stuttered.

Well speech therapy is about the only thing to do. However, you can do it from home. Look on the internet for tapes to help you with it. Much cheaper too.
