The chances arent very big im afraid as most people on the internet arent serious.
I was lucky, i met my man on the internet and i knew loads about him before i met him because he used to go to school with my sister!
Just be careful and dont give too much info out about yourself or you may get taken for a ride, and i dont mean in a good way! lol

Mathematically, probably about the same as falling for the 25th or 50th person you 'meet'. Emotionally, probably the same. Watch out for scams. If she's from Russia or Ukraine, beware. Probably a scam - check the anti scam websites. Otherwise, go with gut instinct. If in doubt, go for it- it's better to have loved and lost, than never...etc. And that which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. So it's all part of life's rich tapestry, just be thankful you're alive to experience it.

You really shouldn't worry about the chances of it happening, but give it a chance yourself. But if you are interested in statistics, buddy, it really looks like internet dating success rates are similar to success rates for couples that meet via other situations. So good luck and don't let any stigma cause you to not try it.

It certainly can happen. Meeting online is like meeting in any other venue. The secret, however, is to consider it only a first step to getting to fully know someone and that can only be achieved through "in person" contact over time. I wish you all the best and hope that you continue to enjoy this romance.

i have met a guy recently through the internet and he is messin me about! i really love him and he says he loves me too, but at the minute he isn't answering my calls or my texts. Word of advice- if u genuinely love her then treat her as u would a real girlfriend. Just because its through a computer doesn't mean it can't still hurt.

A lot. You will have to be careful. Find out her ascendants before giving in your heart. Keep a cool distance. Let her do all the chatting and find all the details you can from her. Fix a meeting if possible.
