Police forces in India were never apolitical. As the corruption is wide spread, the police requires political protection. The politicians require money for their election expenses. A simple transfer requires huge sum for a police man. Police knows everything! But they are tied with their own rope.

A particular case cannot be taken as a critiria to determine whether we can depend on our Police force, in general. There are best Police Officers such as Kiran Bedi who is doing all her best to make the Police department free from corruption and nepotism. The entire blame on the Nithari incident cannot be put on Police. In my opinion, a major role in this case is played by the ruling political bosses. The political bosses have been protecting the Police officers in Nithari during the last 2 years. Actually, the Police Officers were given the impression by the Political bosses that they (former) need not worry about complaints from the people as long as the latter is in power. But, even the political bosses did not ever imagine that the Police can stoop to such a low level and such a serious and heneous crime can be committed by the Law enforcing officers who are expected to give protection and shelter to the poor people. The popularity of the political bosses have been eroded by the event. If such an event was foreseen, they would never have given shelter to the Police officers.

Several valuable lives have been lost. The family members of the children who lost their lives and the people in general who came to learn the henous crime will never vote for the political bosses again. Such an event should become an eye opener to the politicians.

Actually, to a large extent the administration is under the influence of corruption. The corruption is a world phenomonon due to various reasons which need not be discussed in this context. But, it cannot be denied that the present public educational system and the 'media' are responsible for this state of affairs, to a great extent.

I have a different look at this matter, whereas i don't re leave the police role in the Nithari case. I feel we are missing something out. Broadly speaking we should try to see whether persons involved were also totally committed in organ smuggling?? if yes than what was the routing, who were involved in the chain, how finance was available at their hand, if it was a ORGAN Smuggling all the links should be unearthed, the police who has taken blame and suspended its officer should reward and honour the officer who reached the bottom of it.
It should not be treated as only criminal but from financial and social aspect also. As this act was not committed on a single day, but a series of links and efforts have been put to let it happen for such a long period before we heard about it.

In this case, the Police are certainly responsible for this kind of barbaric acts by the cruel people of the Society, who do not have least regard for the human kind. Any reports of any missing children should had been immediately investigated and such cases should have been brought to the notice of higher ups in the administration immediately for prompt action to catch and severly punish the culprits.

No, we cannot think like that, because the entire police force cannot be blamed taking into cognigance of one issue like nithari, and therefore we can depend upon our police force and at the sametime the police force should realise and see that nithari type cases should not be repeated further.

I couldn't believe this at the first, killing small childrens & elders and selling their organs its stupid to do that
At the first i thought we can depend up on police and they will handle it but when i heard that there was also police hand in this case i was shocked to here that
and it went for 2years nobody knew about this
there is a big peoples connection in this so that they manage it perfectly for 2years and made the people to think upon depending on our police

History repeats itself. Disgusted by Nithari? In 2001 in Pakistan murderer Javed Iqbal killed and raped 100 boys, then dissolved them in acid. The police had no clue until he confessed to it. The police are stupid and corrupt there need to be a change, citizens need to demand that there children and themselves need to be protected. don't the citizens elect the lawmakers and pay taxes?

Stand up for your rights, just because the system is bad, that does'nt mean that you can't change it.

Yes I do agree police is equally responsible at what happened at Nitahari. The culprit should be hanged immediately. Our laws it seems is protecting the accused. We have to look after self rather than depending on police

Yeah. Agree with you. This is shocking.
Well, there is definitely some shoddy work by the police in this case initially. However, I feel that with the publicising of cases like this and the punishment meted out to erring officers, the standards of policing will definitely improve.

Yes, you are right.
Police is loosing people' faith in them because of such
incidents take place day to day in INDIA.
Nithari is one of such horrible incidents which is the shame
for our human beings in civilised society. Many cases like this can be unearthed if investigating agencies go deeper into our
far reached area or even semi-urban area.
