I am not a supporter of Christian Zionism. I do not believe that it is Biblical. Preachers like John Hagee have an agenda that is connect with various secret societies around the world. I do not believe in private agendas. God's agenda is the agenda I support and that agenda is in the Bible. I believe that these CZs misinterpret a great deal of Scripture. This idea of speeding up the return of Jews to Israel in order to usher in the millennium kingdom of Christ is ridiculous, as if God will change his timetable to accomodate a few far-out thinking Christian preachers. God is no respecter of men.
I cannot disagree with the link that you included, and I thank you for including it, as it was very informative. The Jewish people have every right to be distrustful of the religious FAR right because it is Neo-Nazi in its configuration. They learned their lessons well from the Nazis concerning propaganda and improved upon Hitler's techniques by not wearing uniforms, instead dressing like respectable business men and women.
I am a conservative minister, fully ordained in the Gospel ministry of Jesus Christ. I am also a Democrat and loathe the right wing agenda of the Republican Party and President Bush. My preference is to see the world adopt a hands-off policy concerning Israel---I believe that the Jews are perfectly capable of handling their own affairs quite well without the interference of the all-meddling USA. In fact, if we were to keep our noses out of things, then things would not degenerate into such a mess as we currently see that they are; but we will never learn, I suppose.
The Old Testament repeatedly warns not to speaking against or act against Israel. I take God at his word. Thank you for bring this subject up, and please understand that not all fundamental Christians share in the agenda of the radical right.

Why should I worry about a non event? This is a christian psychosis that has lasted for over 1700 years. Armageddon and the end of days have been part of the christian ultimate threat over its followers. The Abrahamic religions are the most bloodthirsty religions of historic times.. If you do not believe in me you will fry or more properly freeze in hell. and judgment day is coming. It's odd that this god had to wait and scheme and maneuver the planet and eventually humans for over 4.5 billion years to finally destroy everything so he can save what a few million chosen humans. The billions of humans that had existed through out the history of the planet before he revealed himself to a bunch of bronze age preachers go to hell. He is such a lovable character

It is not just the Christians who worry.I guess you don't care about the end of the world, that is not a concern.Even if it isn't as religion states a nuclear Holocaust scares me something terrible The world event's in the Middle East are real Iran is trying to make nukes and they are not trying to be able to claim they did it.They will detonate it and the fallout from their actions will create a chain of reaction of Biblical proportions.Personally I would worry more about that than say, global warming.

I'm not worried. I know the outcome.
And yes, the first answerer has it right about false prophets. That's why in the parable of the Ten Virgins, Jesus counseled us to provide our own oil (knowledge) for our lamps (the truth.) Some Christians do, and some don't. They only follow what they are told, rather than checking it out for themselves.

I can safely say I have never lost any sleep over the thought of armageddon. The universe is governed by natural laws, so I'm pretty confident the earth isn't going to suddenly self destruct tomorrow (which would violate almost every physical law of the universe).

I'm not worried about it at all.
I don't believe that much of the modern Bible is still the word of God. I think it's been misinterpreted and edited so much over the centuries that much of the original message has been lost to us.

I'm not worried.
And, yes, many will come in Christ's name (Christians in name) saying that Christ is the Christ and shall deceive many
