Sect or generic. If we're talking Sect it's almost a tie between Roman Catholics and Sunni Islamics.

If you're talking Generic, Christianity wins by a large margin with about 1/3 the population of the World to Islams less than 1/4th.

I think the largest religion is buddism, but if you ask a buddist, it's not a religion, that would leave christianity.
then again, the agnostics seem to be coming up from behind kind of quick.

Catholicism might be the largest denomination. but there are many people in the catholic church who do not believe in the holy trinity. they never go to church, they sin(don't ask for forgiveness) and they don't believe in God but they still call themselves Christians. Watching my predominantly catholic community, i know there are many false christians that do worse things than the heathens or pagans in my community.
