She is interesting cute and smart girl, yesterday called me crying that she is fond of chatting and getting known people throughout the world at same time being cautious not to throw serious details or real photos to people cause of net disadvantages. She had a friendship with a swedish guy who trusted her to a great extent and started to develop this friendship into much more closer.. the problem is that she started to speak up alomst everything about her, she gave him her address, cell-phone, he is ready to come to her country to visit her and is almost serious about a real relation. Her problem now is that she showed him another photo in the display not her real self and still until now (after may be 6 months) she can't tell him that this is not herself but another picture of another girl !! She is not ugly, but as she finds chatting as hobby she always wanted it with least dangers possible. she is confused: show him real pic and lose his trust or run away forever wihtout any reason

first, why would she do something like that, post another girls picture on the net, violating her rights?? thats messed up. all she has to do is tell the guy that thats not her picture and give the reasonings behind it. you can't just be on the net and mess with someones emotions knowing that the majority of the people online is kind of crazy lol. just tell her to be straight up with him.. she has already did enough damage, her telling the truth will give him a choice whether he's going to look past it and accept it or stop talking to her for lying this long.

Ask her to show him her real pic .. if they r serious he wont go anywhere..plus guys usually dont mind it untill the girl is pretty.. so ask her not to waste time and tell him the truth..There is no guarantee that the guy is saying the truth too..
I have been in a similar situation and said the truth it made me feel better after the guilt of lying..and she is still very close to me till today...
so TRUTH is the best answer..

tell her to fess up and admit that she showed him a fake picture when she did not know him that well.
