every living being produces wastes. what is waste for one species is food for another. CO2, for example, is wastes for humans and food for trees. as long as you keep that balance in 0 your country will be CO2 free. CO2 is just an example, we should study what are our wastes and if we have species enough that use that waste as food.
the current unbalance in green house gases is due to two facts at the same time: 1) Less forests in the world 2) More CO2 emissions
We have to increase forests. But for some countries it is too late, their climate conditions would not allow trees to grow again. Some countries like China and India are doing the effort that other countries cannt. Unfortunately there are countries that are destroying their forest, all humankind is paying for it, specially those countries
On the other side, we also have to reduce emissions. The big causes of emissions are:
1) Electricity generation using coal and oil. Every energy source that produces heat along its generation process pollutes. Hydro, solar and wind dont produce heat. Those energy sources are vastely used world wide except in some countries. And they are the very cheap because water, sun light and wind are free. If governments want this sources of pollution could disappear in 20 or 25 years. Japan, germany, spain and danmark have huge companies that build electricity generation plants using those energies. British Petroleum is becoming more and more a environmental engineering company, Shell (a duth-british oil company) is doing that as well, but not so fast.
2) Transportation. It is not so easy as the former one. There are two ways. One is change transportation fueled by oil or fuel by electricity (train instead of cars, buses and flights, if posible). Second is change engines fuelled by oil by others such as ethanol or hydrogen. There are some cars manufactured by swedish and german companies and some french ones. And they will develop more cars and more powerful ones. Still no van and no truck. European, indian and japanese manufacturers are announcing more cars for this year. We can expect that in two or three years, everybody who buys a new car can buy a no-pollution one if they want.
There are other sources of air pollution, but if they donw grow very much, probably your forests can keep it balanced.
If your governmnt wants, in less than 20 years, your country will be air pollution free.

the only way to control pollution in India is by controlling the population. It is one of the main reasons for increase in pollution in India.so to reduce the pollution we to the first control the population.due to increase in population the use of vehicles has also increased.the number of factories have also increased at a high rate in India which also a cause of pollution.the carbon mono oxide released by these vehicles and industries has more affinity to heamoglobin than oxygen.it forms a stable compound with it.it later on results in death.
there are several measures by which we can control this pollution.following are some of the measures:
1)Tall chimneys should be installed.
2)sewage should be treated before disposing them into water.

9. Develop a healthy contempt for fashion. Buy only quality clothing and use it until it falls to bits. Meanwhile, repair it.
10. Install a solar hot water system.
11. Double, treble or quadruple the insulation on your home.
12. Buy one radio and one television and keep them for at least ten years. Run the radio on mains power, not batteries. Better still, don't own or use a televison.

There should be least private vehicles.
Why do everybody,...every single people need cars? bikes? if every body use bus or train, guess at what percentage the pollution will get reduced.....Govt must take necessary steps to make people comfortable with public transport.

According to an announcement this week by the global warming "Chicken Littles" global warming is irreversible and will continue for the next thousand years no matter what we do.
So I guess we can all stop talking about this bull crap and just start living our "best-and-most-prosperous-in human-history" lives again.
