Muhammed accepts that Jesus was a prophet of God and tells his followers to accept this fact. During Jesus' lifetime he wasn't worshiped people worshipped God. While Christians now believe Jesus IS literally God Muhammed informs us God is ONE not the part God.

And the phrase 'The Son of...) In Hebrew means has the likeness of or has the qualities of. So Son of God means has the qualities of God. Just as in the bible it says James and John are the Sons of Thunder. It means they are firery,. It doens't mean they are literally the sons of thunder in the way you are the son or daughter of your parents.i.e. your parents had sex to create you.

This is not intended for Christians to hurle abuse at Islam.

The Jews are waiting for their Messiah because they expect him to be a great warrier king, yet Christians say the jewish messiah is Jesus. It's just a different viewpoint and shouldn't lead to a slanging match.

So the qur'an is a war manual? If it is then Mohammed gave quideline for morality in war - no harming of civilians, womens etc. Much of this is know in the Human Rights Act and Geneva Covention(Don't mutilate your enemy). Also isn't the bible which is a Christian Holy Book a war manual?

Very true! I'm very suspicious that "only-begotten" was a side-note that accidentally got incorporated into the Gospels. After all, we don't have the original texts. "Son of God" is figurative and must not be understood literally, for God does not beget, nor is He begotten. Jesus was made, not begotten, by God.

Jews expect the Messiah to come "with clouds", sit on the throne of David and bring success to the people of Israel and exalt it above all nations...

Christians expect Jesus to descend from the clouds and exalt all Christians in paradise...

Muslims also believe Jesus will return from the sky, with the Mahdi...

In other words, each religion claims finality and relies on magical prophetic fulfilment, which can never ever be fulfilled. In reality, all of these prophecies are meant to be taken symbolically, not literally. The "clouds" are the physical body of a Prophet of God, which obscures their true identities.

I wont hurl abuse at you but you are very wrong on many issues Jesus was worshiped and son of god is very different than only begotten son of God. Jews and Christians can agree on many things even though they might not agree that Jesus was the Messiah ...which Muslims do agree...though they clearly do not understand the prophesies that the Messiah were to fulfill. top say that Jews did not believe in the deity of Christ is very wrong as many were persecuted to death for this belief. Jesus was a Jew and his followers were Jews...We could have no Christians until after the resurrection which is why the Gospel unlike what Allah said was after the resurrection of Christ. Another huge misconception by Muslims is the idea that Christians believe in more than one God. We do not and the doctrines of the trinity can be found int he first book of Moses the first scriptures God handed down to us...The very fact that we have a spirit is a testimony to the trinity...If a Muslims ever searched for truth that they did not have to match with the Qu'ran it would be easy for them to see the truth. The Gospel was written only because of the resurrection if not for the resurrection you would have no Christians. It is very silly to everyone who is not Muslim to think that there would be Christians without the atonement and resurrection of Christ....What is the difference between Christians and Jews?

well ... if the Muslims believe that Jesus is a prophet (accd to Muhammad) ... why wont they believe in his teachings .... where Jesus said" I am the way , the truth and the life , there is no way to the Father except thru me ."

Worship is basically exalting someone and praising someone . Jesus was definitely worshiped in that sense.

Well I also heard from a Muslim friend that the Muslims are waiting for the return of a Savior and when all proof ( like the resurrection , the shroud ( cloth that covered Jesus) , the tomb stone and everything suggested that he was resurrected ) , why do people have problems in believing that he is God. Just like you have a spirit , soul and body the Godhead comprises of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There i one God in terms of identity , but in terms of different parts , just like different parts of your existence ... Jesus is God who came in the flesh

The stories in the bible and Koran are almost the same for a while. The differences are Jesus is crucified, resurrects, returns to heaven, telling people he will come back. Mo hammed becomes king, fules a the might of the sword, and the rest of the Koran is basically a war manual.

dont be an atheist ! i undergo witness of jesus, and ive seen an angelic form human being. there are literally not below 10 human beings on R&S who also declare to be a witness. there are thousands of human beings that declare to work out jesus, inspite of in the adventure that they leap to the incorrect conclusions. contained in the LDS and Jehova witness attitude, the trinity isn't authentic doctrine. in LDS theology and revelation on my own, God is a resurrected Immortal, clone of jesus is defined. see Gen 18, the position the Lord seems to abraham on the valley of mamre contained in the nineteenth century, the mormons had an elder named parley p pratt, and he's known for conserving God is a God of body factors and passions. no longer merely that ! many elders believed and taught that God has different halves in heaven. why create sex devoid of having a spouse. why create sex devoid of a functioning body./!

That's a funny joke tiger.... thanks.... Your are totally right. I as a muslim also call Jesus Lord but that doesn't mean that he is lord God. I am calling Jesus Lord because he is the royal blood line of David. Lord the Messiah Jesus is actually equiavalent to arabic that is Sayyidul Al-Masih Isa. So there's nothing wrong for us muslim to call Jesus "lord" in terms of his status, as long as we don't associate the messiah Jesus as partners in worship alongside with the one true god. That is the greatests sin in Islam.

You are seeking, and that is good. On here, if you ask 100 questions, you are going to get 100 different answers. Jesus is the only Begotten of the Father. Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus did die for our sins. Do not listen of the lies of Islam. Mohammad was a prophet only, Jesus came to do the will of his Father who is in Heaven and completed it, that is why on the cross Jesus said "It is finished" There is a lot of Jews who exept Jesus as their Messiah, and they are called Massianic Jews. More and More Jews are coming to Jesus, and that is the way it should be, as they rejected him the first time around. Jesus said "You will not see me again until you say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord" Meaning that the Jews will not see Jesus again until they except him as their Messiah. Jesus fullfied every single prophecy in the bible, including being born of a virgin, his minisry, his miricles, his death and reserection. Jesus fullfield every single one of them. We are all sinners, in need of a savior. We cannot get to Heaven unless we go through Jesus. Jesus said not man comes to the Father expect through me. How true that is. God is a Holy God, and will not set sin into his presence, and that is why God sent his Son to take our place. We deserve to be hung on that cross to die. God placed all the sins on his beloved Son's shoulders so will may have a chance of Heaven. Jesus is the only way to the Father. For God so loved the world he gave his only Begotten Son, so that however believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus prophecied his death and reserection. Jesus said the Son of Man will spend three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, and after rise again. Jesus did exactly that. He appeared to Thomas, as Thomas said to the disiples I will not believe unless I put my finger in the mark of the nails and put my hands in his side(to feel the scars). Jesus appered to Thomas and Jesus walked over to him and said "Thomas, put your finger here" He did that, and Thomas saw the wounds in his side, and fell prostate on the floor and worshiped him and said my Lord and my God. Jesus said to Thomas you believe me because you see me, but blessed are those who believe me without seeing me. How true that is, we go on faith not by site. A little girl that was almost 5 drowned in the swimming pool a fews back and went to Heaven and witness what she saw. She saw Jesus sitting on the right hand side of the Almighty God. Jesus showed her his scars in his writs where the nails were, and the deep nail marks. She also saw them in his feet where the nails were also. She also got to sit on the lap of the Father(God)This little girl did not know anything about abortions and in Heaven she saw little babies that were squeezed out and unwanted. She saw a baby there that was thrown into the garbage and abandoned by its parents, and little Victoria (the little girl) called her the garbage baby. This precious little girl saw the wedding cake that is going to be part of the wedding supper of the lamb when Jesus takes his faithfull followers home in the rapture before the great tribulation that is coming on the earth, and may not be too many more years away, the way we are going. Pleaw make Jesus your Lord and Savior, and confess your sins to Jesus. The Father has given Jesus all power and authority in Heaven and on the earth. After the 1000 years on Jesus reign on the earth, Jesus will hand the authority back to the Father. Jesus will Judge the nations who are unbelieving, and the wrath of God will fall on them. Jesus died for you, and I am here to tell you that without Jesus, you will not enter Heaven, and end up in the other place that is not nice, and I do not have to tell you about that, as you already know. You need the blood of Jesus to cleanse you of all unrightouness of you sins, and after you are cleansed by the blood, you are made worthy to stand in the presence of God and declared innocent. Without the blood covering you are guilty, and is punishable by being thrown into the lake of fire. Please except Christ today, Jesus is your only hope. Leanne
