There is an absolutley wonderful man that I am very confused about. We have talked online for about 11 1/2 months now, but have not met in person yet. Every time I talk with him, I start to shake, just slightly. Sometimes I will be freezing, and other times I will be warm. I smile incredibly too much (good thing I don't have a cam). But when he said he loved me, I was not sure what to reply. So I guess my questions would be: How does a person know when they are in love? and how do you tell the difference between love and lust?

Either choice would be incorrect without meeting in person...

Lust is when you are wanting something or someone you cannot have or should not have. Love...well, you will only know love when you've experienced it. It's true, love can come at any age and at any time - though I think that 1 1/2 months is a little fast to be saying you love someone.
You're not lusting, but you're also not loving. You should just tell him you don't feel that way, atleast not yet. Right now he makes you happy - but you wouldn't be ready to dive into a relationship that may come to pass if you two aren't commited.
Be careful when you meet someone off the internet, I was with my guy a year online before I met him; and I had talked to his mom first and did my own way of verifying he was real. But not all of us are that lucky. :)

Best of luck to you, hun! I wish you the very best! ^_^

You said on line for 11 1/2 months. He said he loves you. That would tell me right than your probably not the only person he said that too. This week! He's a lire and a thief. Men like that end up ripping your heart out. I read a survey that said Men who say I love you Without meeting the person generally turn out to be violent and create a lot of domestic abuse. Rather it be you or the children.Even your related family will suffer.

Lust is when you feel a sexual desire towards a person, were as love is a feeling of care, affection and strong liking towards that person. When you feel both lust and love towards that person, then you are most likely experiencing romantic love. If you are in love with this person, yet it is not being acknowledged or returned then you are experiencing unrequited love. Humans experience lust towards a person before they start to feel love. My guess is that you have an infatuation for this guy.

A person who's in loved likes the company of the other person, appreciates him, has "butterflies in the stomach" when they talk or see, touch, when they get in contact. When you're in loved you feel that you can't get enough of your partner's company. Lust is pleasure, sexual pleasure, when it's made only for the sake of the act, no matter who the partner is. But when it's love, I can't call it lust. But you can't tell you love a person until you have seen her. He might be somehow else you imagined. Meet and spend some time together and you will find out if you're in loved or not.

If you are in love, then you would feel like being loyal and in love with this person forever. Love is nothing more than extremely warm feelings for a person. Lust is strictly sexual.

The person you're in love with, is the internet image he presents. Many times, this is an idealized portrait, and you need to really get to know a person on a day-to-day, face-to-face basis to find the real them. Just be aware of that.

I'm Sorry, the only way you will know the difference is if you meet him and you stay together for more than 2 years, then, all the lust will be warn and then the love will remain.

There really is no way to tell if someone loves you behind a keyboard, let alone in real words. Actions speak louder than words. Put yourself out there and look for a man in the world offline for best results.

you will definitley know when your in love. you can tell your in love by the way a person makes you feel inside really. what they do for you. how much time you spend together, how you get along, and relate to each other. its kind of hard i think to fall in love with someone on the internet because you really dont know them. what if he is nothing like the person you think you know online in person?

i could be lust if the person doesn't respect you as you are; doesn't respect your decisions;and only wants your kisses..if the man is truly in love with you; he better choose to wait for the right time; he will love to get a chance to meet in you in person; he would like to see the real you
