I have a history of anxiety and I am taking medication for it. But lately I have been having chest pains, and I have thoughts that I am not going to live—like I am going to die sometimes. Sometimes it feels like my chest is going to come out. Like my eyes are going to close and I will see nothing but black. Is this an anxiety attack? I cannot sleep at nights because of this feeling. I usually stay up until 6:00 am after that I take Seriquel to fall asleep.

Yes, this is basically chronic anxiety attacks..i experienced some frightening similiar experiences a couple months ago. Not cool. However, you can learn a lot about yourself if you somewhat listen to your thoughts about what is onsetting the anxiety..most of the time youre just over-analyzing too much. you should maybe take te seriquel earlier so it can hit you before the anxiety starts..or perhaps start taking anti anxiety meds..talk to your doc if you have one good luck.

I was suffering from the same, its a panic attack, a call from your inner self crying for help, you are one of those self made people who have high values and little downs brings us into panicking why did this happen? why didnt i see it coming?

Get comfy, close the windows and doors if that makes a difference and then sit on your bed, loosen your eyes, then jaws, then shoulders, go through a mental check thoughout your body to loosen yourself up, and then try to drift off in your own world, world where you are the boss, where you matter, let your thoughts flow in, dont interrupt your thoughts.

Please seek medical advice, its very important, you could drift into depression and when time has passed you might have to take stronger medications, which i wouldnt go for.

Get well soon!

When your chest feels like that try breathing in and out in a paper bag a few times and if it feels better I suspect it was anxiety.
The carbon dioxide loosens constricted chest muscles.
I would see a doctor though, your thyroid could be out of whack or something else.

No body is asking an important question yet and that is, "what medication (including length of time on it, dosage, time of day you ingest, intake habits - ie, are you consistent with remembering to take your med?) are you on for your anxiety?" Also, have you consulted your prescribing doc about this? Chest pains aren't funny. Talk to your doc.

Yes.. it sounds like it.. sounds kinda like a mixture of depression and anxiety.

See a doctor about it.
