If everyone got the same amount of money then no one would work and our society would go to crap. But I agree on the no religion thing. That'd be nice.

Your words reminded me of the song by John Lennon called 'Imagine'
"Imagine if there is no religion .... people living as one" or words to that effect. It has been so long since I heard it.
Actually the term religion has put a bad taste in many peoples mouths. But if being a Christian is a religion I suppose I am part of one, though I prefer to think of myself as a spiritual person and will always be grateful that God gave me life., no matter how imperfect our lives are.
Wouldn't the world be a better place if we were ALL equal in the way you described.

This is what Islam teaches us; that everyone is equal. Who is better in the eyes of Allah does not have to do with gender, financial status, colour, origin, intelligence, etc but who is really pious.
The problem is not religion; but how people misinterpret it or use it to serve their agendas.
