I had very long hair with profound split ends and went into a salon to get them trimmed off. They trimmed off a little over an inch and all went well until they used one of those brush combs and did something to the ends. But, now my hair is completely frayed! I have short little hairs all around the top of my head from where the ends have split up to! All of my hair is split and frayed. I'm scared! What do I do to fix this? If I leave it alone will it grow back to normal? I can't cut any more, since no matter how short I cut I'll still have the split ends and frays =(

I recommend leaving your hair to grow back, but it is vital that you avoid:

*Hair dryers (If you have to blow your hair dry, use a cool setting and keep the dryer 6 inches away from your hair)
*Curling irons
*Brushing too much, try to not brush your hair when its wet (Use a wide-toothed comb if you must)

Remember to protect your hair from extreme weather by wearing a hat on sunny days & keeping your hair well mositurised during the dry winter months.
Deep-condition your hair frequently. A good quality conditioner should be rich and creamy but leave no residue on the hair. If your hair is dry, shampoo less frequently to prevent further damage.

There are a few home remedies to treat split ends and frayed hair at home. One is to mix vitamin E capsules with warm water and apply the mixture to your hair when wet. Plain coconut oil and almond oil are other great options: they can be left overnight or applied after washing. If you choose the second option, cover your head with a wet warm towel or a plastic shower cap for about 20 minutes to help the hair absorb the oils better.

And lastly, remember that healthy eating also contributes to hair health, so make sure you consume a balanced diet, or consider taking a multivitamin to balance your food intake.

Curly hair tends to be fragile and straightening is an awfully brutal chemical system. If in case you have the colour and straightening professionally done, it will look good to start with, however the entire conditioning on this planet won't preserve it from fitting very broken, especially in case you have any hopes of preserving any length. Also, it does now not keep delicate as it grows out, in order that superb look may be very brief-lived. In case you are inclined to have very short hair, you perhaps ready to have both (if professionally achieved), but when you decide to grow it out, all of that handled hair shall be fried and can ought to be trimmed back over time until it's all grown out. Lengthy story short: pick one. (i know, it sucks, but as a minimum you are now not bald!)

no if you leave it alone you'll just have the same split ends. if you're ok with a shoulder length hair cut i say that let it grow out to at least a bit past your shoulders and then trim the edges.after that use a brush with bristles. don't use anything that snags your hair because it rips your hair and leaves split ends.
