It may be the same video I saw on TV about 15 years ago.
If memory serves; the man practised Iron Shirt Qigong in the video I saw, and the bamboo shaft was about 10-15 feet long and was about two inches thick, and the shaft was wielded by one of the master's students.
If you think that is something; you should get the video of Frank Dux putting on a martial art demonstration in Paris 15 or so years ago.
Here are just some of the things he did.
Broke bullet proof glass with a punch.
Set the one man tug of war record
He was kneeling on a mat and a line of 26 men were trying to
pull him from his place.
broke two champagne bottles with a single punch.
I am a Zhan Zhuang Qigong master, and have been practising since I was 19 years old.

I saw this guy who had been practicing Qigong since he was a child throw a sewing needle through a pane of glass on t.v. I have a lot of admiration for Qigong masters and have been interested in it for a long time now.

And there is a qigong master from china teaching in Sydney who gets people to be able to do a smaller version of this after only 6 months training.

I think that's awesome and I'd really dig seeing the video. It makes me think I ought to consider taking up Qigong.
