No God does not hate you! But you might want to look into Christian Metal, it is out there go to any Christian book store and they can show you what they got. My husband is way into heavy metal music and found some great stuff from Christian artist. He told me it would have been easier for him if he known they had music like that. He always thought of Christain music as hymns. So go take a look at what is out there I promise you wont be disappointed.

You've been listening to the wrong preacher.

You don't have an addiction to heavy metal and horror movies. You are not a bad person for either participating or enjoying this form of entertainment. The only thing that makes you a beneficial or an abusive person is how you act and interact with other people. And regardless of what anyone else tells you, you are not being abusive to others by watching movies or listening to music.

You are not going to hell. Jesus is only in the heart and mind of how we treat each other. He is not in the clothes we wear or the way we look. Jesus is not in the words of egotistical fools who only denounce these forms of art just because they personally don't like them.

Horror movies are designed to scare you. The human brain was never designed to be scared. Ask the Lord to release you from this dumb habit. As for the music, if it is positive and good, fine. If it is of a corrupting nature then put it away. There are so many super good movies and so much wonderful music in the world that this should not be a big problem for you in the long run.
I love videos and have seen hundreds of them over the last several years since we got a Blockbuster in my neighbourhood. But I never never waste time with horror flicks. For the most part they are just dumb.

Before sleep, you can listening to some smoothing music like light jazz, natural sounds recording. This will help you to ease yourself and going to sleep easy. You can try gentle breathing techniques to improve your oxygen intake. (Breathe in 4 secs, hold 4 secs, breathe out 4 secs, hold 4 secs) Avoid do any form of exercise that stress your muscles.

Dear KaNez,

First of all, let me compliment you for wanting to "do the right thing" towards Jesus. That tells me that you have such a good heart, and that you truly care what He thinks. Let me put your mind to rest, ok?

Jesus loves you more than anything, I want you to know that. His love isn't like earthly human love, it's far bigger and greater than you and I can picture in our minds. Let me tell you how much He loves you...

2000 years ago, He hung on that cross because He knew that sins would come between people and God. And God loves us, and wants us to be with Him. And believe it or not, when Jesus hung on that cross, He was thinking of you. He loves you so much, and He died to make it all right between you and God. And it was done.

You say you have an "addiction" to horror movies. Well, we've all been to those horror movies, haven't we? But if in your heart that you feel like those movies come between you and Jesus, then you have to weigh out what is more important to you. And I think that you know that answer. And if you think you can watch these horror movies and it not come between you and Jesus, and what He might think of that, then you consider that also, ok?

Metal music. Is it just those power chords on those guitars that draws you? Is it the beat and the bass guitar? I like alot of it too. Some bands are ok, they don't have dark, Satanic, anti-Jesus lyrics. But some do. Which ones do you listen to? Would God approve of the lyrics of some of the bands you listen to? That is something you must weigh out in your mind. Ask yourself, "does it come between me and God?"

Honey, things are only a sin when you know that it is something God doesn't approve of, but yet you do it anyway, no matter what God thinks.

I think you're a wonderful person, with a good heart. And you really do care what God thinks. If you didn't, you wouldn't have asked this question, would you?

Sit down tonight, and tell these things to the Lord. When was the last time you sat down and really talked with Him? Be honest. Tell Him the things that are on your mind. And He will help you sort them out. These things, and all things you will experience in your life, you can talk over with God. Because He truly loves you, and is interested in all aspects of your life. Especially that good heart of yours.

My prayers for you.

You won't go to hell; hell is a made up place, invented to scare people into religion, just like heaven is meant to entice them.

But listening to music too loudly will hurt your hearing, and you should definitely watch different types of movies for variety's sake.

Sin is stuff that hurts others - if it doesn't hurt anybody, it's not a sin. Jesus is dead and doesn't care what you do. There are no gods or devils.

If God sends you to hell for movies and metal, do you really want to spend eternity with the guy anyway?

Some Christians would say you are in the Devil's camp for these personal tastes of yours.

Is there course language in these mediums?
Are there images of nudity, sex, The Devil, or otherwise evil in these?

It's probably not a good idea if you want to be a "good Christian".
However, I have a number of friends who are "bad" Christians who listen to Demon Hunter and like horror movies and porn.

Eh.

As long as you're not going around slicing off people's heads and then using their entrails as guitar strings for your metal music, i'm sure god could care less.
