which has more screaming drill instructors/sargeants, which teaches more infantry tactics, which has more "peer" motivation? (blanket parties) overall which is more tougher?

I'm a Marine but my unbiased answer is "who knows?" Unless you've been through both, I don't think you can give an intelligent knowledgeable answer. That being said, I suspect you'd learn more about tactics in Ranger school than in Marine Recruit Training, simply because of the differences in their missions. I'm sure both have instructors that will scream at you, and the days of "blanket parties" are all but gone--except in the most extreme situations.

Sorry, Girl 1, but all the services have the same benefits.

Kind of comparing apples to oranges with this one. Marine Corps Recruit Training is what every Marine goes through. Army Rangers are a specialty that one chooses to go through.

Jump school is not that tough, except the fact you have to spend three weeks in GA. Ft. Benning was an interesting place, and who can forget Victory Drive. Those who have been there know what I am talking about.

And, yes, all military personnel receive the same benefits, pay by rank, etc.

I went through Boot camp. I did not go to Ranger school. Jump School I thought was fun!

I really did not have a lot of problems in Boot Camp. However, I am fourth generation Marine, at least, back before WW1. Ended up as honor grad! My son will be going through Ranger school next year in the ROTC program I will let you know what he thinks.

I will have to salute him soon!!!!

There is no point in omitting jump school. I'm sure ranger school is harder (than jump school). The simple fact is, this issue will never have an answer, as very few people go through both.

Marines, by far. One of my ex boyfriends was in the Marines and he said...'you'd better believe it...they make a man out of you even if they have to kick you when you're down.'

That was in 1970, so I don't think it's gotten any easier. He said boot camp was a screaming match, but yeah...lots of tricks.

Harassment is the same in all boot camps. It is not a picnic.

Marines. They have a much higher rejection and injury rate.

Just because someone screams at you doesnt make it tough, unless youre a mommas boy.
