I'm thinking of getting one on my pelvis area.. like above the illiac crest on the right. any opinions or experiences?

Ive got one exactly where you are talking about.. and it did get pretty sore. When they first start, it doesnt really hurt at all, kind of an annoying scratching at your skin, but as your skin becomes irritated with what's going on with it, it starts to swell up. That's when you'll start to breath a little deeper, and start focousing on other things :) It hurts, yeah, but it's bearable... and you'll get to show something off!!

I have two tattoos myself. One on my shoulder ( didnt hurt ) and one right belo my neck (barely hurt). I think it all depends on the person and how much pain they are willing to take. Also is how sensitive the area i.e. how many nerve endings are in the area. So it really depends on the person.

i will be lying if i told you it doesnt hurt but the pain is bearable. On a scale of 10 (10 being the most painful), i would place the pain at 6.

i have one in that area..to me it hurt more than the one on my lower back but not hurt enough to back out of it i would go through the pain again my sister has one in t he same area and she helped me on how the pain would feel. try this.
Get a safety pin or an earring stud, something clean sharpish but not to sharp, and just scratch the area, not to hard but not to gentle just so after a couple of scratches in the same area starts to feel warm and a little burning. i hope this helps. Good Luck.

It's going to hurt no matter where you get it. Just don't drink alcohol before as the bleeding will be worse and the tattoo will take even longer to do.

it depends on your pain tolerence. but three of my friends have one on their pelvis and they said that it did not hurt.

mine are on my back and didn't bother me..
my mum's got her's on undie line no biggie for her...
