I noticed my hairline is receding quite rapidly. I'm a 16 year old female. I've dyed my hair a few times but it only started receding after. I also have used proactiv and I guess that isn't it cause I stopped using it and its still falling out. I doubt its genetics since no one in my family has this. Any idea what it could be from?

1) It wouldn't be a bad idea to consult your family doctor.

2) Do you have any over growth of hair in unusual places (e.g. facial hair, arms, and legs in excessive amounts, etc..)

3) Is your menstrual cycle regular?

4) What ethnic group are you?

well i know all of these questions are too personal to answer or even to acknowledge on yahoo, so i Really suggest you ask your Dr about it where there is PRIVACY. I am doctor and i don't think there is something dangerous or serious or untreatable here, so don't worry.

Did you change or neglect your diet lately?
This can happen when ppl go Vegan without properly supplementing their nutrition.
If it's rapid, I would definitely see a doctor and have a bunch of blood tests.

GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST ASAP!
You can ask us questions all day but at the end of the day we can't see the problem or diagnose it, only a professional can. Talk to an adult you trust about it...
