I already do - I'm an atheist and for me all those "sacred texts" ARE mythology - just a bunch of myths that are interesting to read, but should not be taken seriously

The Christian religion as far the old testament as been around as long or longer than the Norse and Greek Gods. Ancient tablets found in the city of UR and another north of Babylon spoke of the belief in God, and only one God. So I would have to say that your going to be stuck with Christianity for a long time. It may be that we are laughing about a lot of the scientific fact of today then. Remember science used to say the earth was flat also. The bible also has references in the old testament of the earth being round. Individual Christians and scientists have been wrong plenty of times, that does not mean the Bible or science is wrong. In Ancient Europe they thought taking a bath was sinful, yet the Bible clearly states that cleanliness is nest to Godliness

It's not very likely. Both religions have a huge number of followers and 200 years is not enough for them to "die out". Try 2000 years ;)

It's weird, huh? - sort of like living at a time in history when people continued to believe that the sun orbited the earth even after there was a solid scientific theory indicating otherwise.

I know of teachers of mythology classes who have already added the bible to their classes. I think it is already beginning to happen.

If we survive that long. And if some of our religious leaders tell the truth. Unfortunately fundamentalists will have to die out. They will never accept the truth.

Matthew 5:18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God's law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.

... so whatever folks refer to it as... if all things have not come to fruition... the hope that is written in the Bible will continually be proclaimed...

Mythology:
a body of myths, as that of a particular people or that relating to a particular person:
a set of stories, traditions, or beliefs associated with a particular group or the history of an event, arising naturally or deliberately fostered

There are unicorns in the Bible.

Doesn't it fit the definition already?

i think so, given a protracted sufficient cycle. however the three communities of the "babies of Abraham" are somewhat tenacious of their devotion to a god that seems with the comparable frequency as Zeus, Odin, and Poseidon, so this might take awhile.
