I prefer music with intellectual content. While I like artists like 50 Cent and TI just fine, I prefer Jedi Mind Tricks and Immortal Technique in that they delve into politics and the verse are full of philosophical lyrics.

I certainly do not like the rap music that has messages that are degrading to women or encourages materialism, etc. So I guess the intellectual music is what's left.

Definately rap with intellectual content. The most intelligent rap lyrics are vastly more sophisticated than any of the lyrics that you will hear in rock or any other genre of popular music. When rap lyrics are mindless however they are REALLY mindless.

I like both , sometimes a rapper sending a message that could influence a young persons,( or an older person even) life in a positive way is just what the doctor ordered, and sometmes you just want to hear about whatever,

i prefer music that has some type of meaning or lesson to be learned from it for example the greatest song that i think is Billy Joel "we didn't start the fire!!! it has great meaning to it all that bling bling music gets old it all the same thing money cars and b****es and thats boring and hey anyone can make rhymes!!!
