Why does god enforce punisment on those who choose not to be with him in heaven? ie sent to hell.

Surely a just god who loves all creation would just terminate their existence immediately at the end of their earthly life rather than causing them to suffer until all those separated from god in the next life are ultimately disposed of.

By the way, i dont believe my last question has been satisfactorily answered yet. I'm not looking to wind up any christians. I just cant get my head around a lot of this stuff.

To discuss such things you have to look at The Bible. Any other ideas have been invented by people along the way. So it's got to be The Bible, or dismiss the subject. It indicates God wants us all to have faith and obey His word in order to gain eternal life. Those that have refused it (Being unaware of His teachings is an excuse!) simply do not get resurrected. Heaven and Hell in the popular senses are Grecio/Egyptian inventions use by the Church in days gone by to frighten the peasants into line. Quote ' the dead know nothing'. So life is a selection process. The most common total misunderstanding is 'if there were a God he would not let........'
The Bible makes it clear that God will not rule the world until after the day of judgement. We are like His children. He loves us, gives us guidance and hopes we do the right thing. But we have our desires to control and live in a natural uncontrolled enviroment. The alternative would be to keep us like animals in a zoo garden. I have been sturding The Bible and major theological writings intensively for several years. Also worshipping with various organisations. It is clear that most critics of The Bible have simply no real knowledge of it. The Bible is a complex document and the churches have distorted its contents terribly.
One last point; it is not religion which causes problems it is FALSE religion. Would Jesus bless soldiers weapons? Wear jewels and have followers kneel to Him? Meddle in politics? Manipulate people? Of course not. What a contemptible load of ignorant hypocrites!

Umm..ok. I'm not Christian but I think I know what you're saying. Why would God punish those who choose not to believe? He gave us all freewill. However you choose to use that is up to you. Believe it or not, God doesn't want a mindless zombie to love & accept Him. That's not really love, is it?

As far as the hell/punishment thing, I guess He does it because well..According to Christianity, that's the punishment if you don't believe. He created people and all he asks for is love, belief in Him and for us to treat each other right. Not a whole lot really. If you can't follow that, why should you get a cool afterlife? If you do something right now that is illegal or wrong, in some way or another, you'll get punished. Punishment to God is hell.

I'm not 100% convinced that hell is real anyway. No one really know what happens after you die if you don't or do believe so it's really hard to answer your question with a real answer that will satifisy you. There's nothing to prove God is real and nothing to say He's not real so it's really all just speculation.

Sorry I couldn't give you a verse from the bible or anything. I'm not all that down with the bible so to quote it would be hypocritical and I'd probably be wrong. You really don't have to wrap your mind around much. Just be a good person and leave all that dogma alone. It'll mess up your mind and you'll lose sight of the real idea.

If you are saying that God doesn't love you that is false. Because is says in John 3:16 - For God so loved the World that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Adam sinned and all men were born sinners. So to become saved from that sin we must be saved. In Rom. 10:9 it says That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. Listen, would you sit next to a person that is filthy? No. So God will not sit next to someone that is stained with sin. So he gave you an opportunity to come closer to him whether you accept it or reject it that is between you and God. However, if you reject it there will be a punishment. As there is to every crime. So, God gave you a warning it is your decision to chose the path of eternal life or the path of the heathens to eternal damnation in hell.

god is probably a chemical fix. the christian takes faith in the god with such passion that a feel good chemical is released in their heads so that reinforces their belief in their god to the point of obsession. Everything is going good with this juice pumping away. It boosts the moral and confidence. This can be seen in a typical pentacostle meeting. Watch their bulging ecstatic eyes popping out of their heads. It's a high man. The only thing missing is a god.

Why do you have to question God?
Answer this, why cant you do away with sins and ask God for forgiveness.
Even if you cant do away with your sins, ask God to help you on that. I had one of my sin as addiction, I could not come over it, but I asked God. He helped me overcome it. If He is giving so many opportunities if one asks, why shouldn't people try to initiate it from their side, than to question the all knowing and all powerful God. He is so powerful that He has all the ability to make us into nothing, this very minute. But He is not doing so, because He loves us. So the question is now on your side.

What a question... God is neither Black, White, Yellow brown nor a mix. To think of that the time era photograph in the Bible is consistent with what the human eye can see is a small and narrow definition of the word.

God does not keep people alive to punish them forever for not believing in him or for any reason. This would not be just.
The reward for obedience is life. The punishment for disobedeince is death i.e.: nonexistence. Plain and simple.

He / she / it, doesn't exist. It is just a deluded 'belief' in things that some people don't understand, or worse are to lazy to look for the answer to.
