anyone can make a demo tape, or a demo recording...the question is, what kind of demo do you want to make?

you could get a video recorder and video yourself doing what you do, you could pay for time in a local recording studio and record a semi-pro demo there...hire musicians if you don't want to play every instrument.

OR you could rent a digital recorder form Long&McQuade or your local music store, or just buy one...it'll take time to learn how to record, but with technology the way it is these days...you should be savvy in no time flat.

you should be able to rent an 8 track digital studio and some mics
for 50-75 bucks a month...

i'd recommend this, this way, you can take your time and get the best performance, recording in a studio can be daunting and intimidating the first time out, and rarely satisfying.

good luck, this has been a recording.

go to www.demomysong.com. It costs a few bucks but they can walk you thru it and produce it for you. Or just google "demos" or "record demos" for other companys. hope that helps.--theBerean

Tape is so last century. Nowadays record your music and put it on YouTube and MySpace. If it is any good then it will get noticed.
