You can teach him anything you want, if you are patient and praise him.

I taught my dog to nod his head up and down to say "yes". It took awhile, but it sure makes life easy these days. I began by gently helping him nod his head when we played with his rope, and by saying the word "yes" over and over at the same time. For a few months he would nod yes to everything, but after some time he figured out the meaning.

What amazes me is that he figured out how to say "no" on his own. He also sways his head side to side. They are amazing animals, and with guidance and their own observations, they can learn quite a lot.

To teach a puppy new things you need to show it how its done. To teach it how to sit, take your hand on his back and slowly press its butt down to a sitting possition, saying sit, good boy/girl or say dogs name than sit, give it a treat and prays it. Dont do it more than 4 times, the dog will get bored and will ignore you. Other tricks usually come naturally or you simply have to show the dog how its done. Dont tell the dog that its a bad dog, because hes not, just doesnt know whats write and whats not. if it pees dont say "no, no,no" because the dogs name isnt no, and the dog doesnt know that thats wrong. Taking the dog out through out the night (10pm, 2am, 6am) will get it potty trained. when it poops or pees in the house, just say "no peeing in the house, dogs name needs to go outside. Also go to pet stores and ask people around where you live about their dogs. Mini Pinschers are very very smart. Dont get him tired trying to teach him one thing for hours. couple of tries and thats it. Have fun with it.

Use a clicker and reward-based training. It's really fun and there's a ton of things that you and your dog can learn to do. Remember with a puppy to keep the training sessions short, short, short! I count out 10 treats per session, and when those are gone, the training's over.
Karen Pryor's site is a great place to start:

and I love this site:

Here's some video so you can see how to start:

You may want to practice without your dog first so that you know how you're going to hold the clicker and treats....get your timing right and you'll be able to do some amazing things!

You can teach him very good tricks by appointing a trainer.
