Well most mothers love both and the relationships are somewhat different. It's hard to explain but there is a mother-son tie, that is different with a daughter and the relationship with a daughter changes as you both grow older and she grows up. It doesn't mean she loves one more than the other.
And consider this....the son gets married, then has a wife and kids who become his first concern. Along with his job, it becomes more difficult for him to spend as much time for his mother, even if he may want to. The daughter also marries, but the relationship still allows her to focus more on helping her Mom as she grows older. Does either of them love their mother less?
No...it's just that their responsibilities are different.
So the answer is Mom loves both, and hopefully keeps her relationship going with each of them.

Mother is called the DIVINE an unfathomable person. She bears a child in her womb for nine months taking care every moment once she delivers the baby she feeds her child and protects the child even she is hungry or unprotected from outside climate. Mother is same for human beings and animal kingdom. Her love is intimate undivided for all her children. She judges to give the best protection to the weakest child among all her children. Her love is eternal for her SON or DAUGHTER all are one at all stages of life. Hence she loves both the son & daughter equally.

What ever the age is, mother's will love their children equally. There is no difference in between son and daughter.
