If you have faith, then you believe without asking questions.
Questioning leads to science and science leads to heresy.
We know where heresy leads to.
So Earth is 6000 years old, is at the center with the Sun revolving around it. Dinosaurs did not exist, you can beat your wife and buy and sell sex slaves, kill your children if they are not obedient and that's that. OK ?

Malone's excellent book, Search for the Truth.
Is this a scene from the blockbuster movie, Jurassic Park? It could be, but it isn't. This description, which perfectly fits an Apatosaurus, is a paraphrased description taken from one of the oldest books of the Bible, Job 40:15-24. If dinosaurs have been extinct for 65 million years, how could a writer of the Bible have accurately described the appearance, food, and habitat of this creature?
The vast majority of books on dinosaurs are written from an evolutionary perspective which assumes that the dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago. The leading model for the demise of the dinosaur involves a large asteroid hitting the earth. Yet the most obvious alternative explanation is almost always ignored. Almost all fossils are the remains of creatures buried by water-borne sediment which has subsequently turned to rock. If this is due to the flood of worldwide extent, as the water flowed over all the land surfaces, animals would have been drowned and been buried by massive amounts of rapidly accumulating sediment. It is not all surprising to find a general lack of burial mixing between these very different kinds of animals due to local or ecological grouping.
Genesis 7:2 states that Noah saved two of every representative "kind" of land animal on the ark. Noah would have taken young specimens, not huge, older creatures. Dinosaurs would have emerged from the ark to inhabit an entirely different world. Instead of a warm, mild climate worldwide, they would have found a harsh climate which soon settled into an ice age. If climatic hardships did not cause the dinosaur's extinction, man's tendency to destroy probably did.
In the early 1900's on the Doheny expedition into the Grand Canyon, Indian cave drawings were found which closely resembled a duck-billed dinosaur. Legends from ancient China to ancient England have recorded descriptions of dinosaur-like creatures. The Kuku Yalanji aboriginal people have paintings which look exactly like plesiosaurs. These and other intriguing evidences seem to indicate that perhaps that age of the dinosaurs ended more recently than is commonly taught. Christians do not need to feel foolish about standing on Scripture in their understanding of the world around us. There is ample evidence to support the Biblical record. Evolution serves as the foundation basis for the religions of humanism and atheism. These world views are popular because man, instead of God, decides on rules and moral standards. Creation serves as the foundational basis for Christianity which acknowledges that all things were created by God, that we live in a fallen universe, and that it will be restored to perfection in the future.

Never have heard so many weak answers in my life. The bible claims that the earth is of Great age. In genesus you are seeing the repopulating of the earth by the Human race. The word that was was destoryed in the rebellions of satan, when God closed up the heavens and the stars shined not. This in turn caused the Ice age. What you see in Gensus 1 is God recreating and refilling the earth with life after the first destruction. The next destruction happens in the great flood. That is why dinosaurs are found deep in the earth as oil. The third destruction will be by fire. So the line of destruction is Ice, water and then fire. The total times the earth will be destroyed is 3. As far as dating the earth there is not one single method to date that proved the earths age. They do not even get close.

It really is amazing how ignorant people are...
Radio Carbon 14 dating was used a long time ago and is a bit inaccurate, however there are well over 100 different dating techniques now, some of which are accurate with a margin of error of only 0.1%... They all point to the Earth's age being 4.54 billion years old.
The attacks on carbon dating are only done by those too ignorant and/or dumb to know that there are superior methods out there now.
And I'm sorry, but an ancient mythology isn't an effective or rational counter to reality. Especially when the bible claims the world was created 1,000 years AFTER the Sumerians invented glue and the Babylonians created beer.

The Bible was written centuries ago by people with no scientific knowledge. Nobody knew how old the Earth was, and nobody knew anything about dinosaurs. The Bible is a religious text, not a history book.

Earth is 4.5 billions years old.
You believe in dinosaurs, whose image are they of? God-like dinosaurs? Also, think of the word fossil-fuel to help you understand better.
Addendum: Early humans did not have a good understanding of what was going on around them. So, they made animals, the sun, the moon, the trees and a lot of other things around them, into God-like creatures. Eventually, as they gained a better understanding, different groups diverged in thinking. That's why there are so many religions, and so many denominations within Christianity and many wars/battles in between.
Also note that people in Medieval times, thought that the Earth was flat and, in the Bible, North America and Asia did not exist.
The bible was written by people for the people. (by the people of middle eastern descent for the people of middle eastern descent. No mention of places not yet "discovered" by the Old World)
I hate the word "discovered". It's euro-centric. Let's face it. If human life started in the middle east, asians and people of the "New World" wanted to leave.
The fossil record shows that our species, the way we look today, was around 40,000 yrs ago. Also, the record shows that Neanderthals, which is similar to man, but with ape-like features co-existed with our species. The theory goes that we annihilated that species.

The Bible does not contradict science.
The creation of man is about 7000 years.
The earth and the universe were created long before man.
The Bible talks figuratively when it speaks of the 6 days of creation. Only fundamentalists with their narrow interpretation do harm to the Bible record by insisting the 6 days are literal.
Notice 2 Peter 3:8 However, let this one fact not be escaping your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.
Here it says a day is AS a thousand years, not is a thousand years. To us this reveals that a day as to God is a long indeterminate amount of time. I, as a Bible reader have no problem with the earth, stars, and all the animal and plant lifeforms on the earth, being as old as science suggests.
But it is noteworthy that mankind's history, with things like the bronze age, the ruins of ancient civilizations do not seem to have any evidence dating to more than 7000 years.

dinosaurs weren't around even 10,000 years ago.
It takes many many sets of 10,000 years to make a small maybe centimeter deep amount of rock. Dinosaur bones are much deeper. How'd they get down there? Did the hebrews bury them and make rock? And there are a lot of these skeletons. Were there Hebrews in Montana burying dinosaurs too?

How come there are cave paintings and sculptures dating farther back than the Hebrew calendar by some 20,000 years?
The Bible contradicts history and science.
I explain dinosaurs by them being alive before our time.

That is a good question but we actually don't know how old the Earth is because the plates that cause earthquakes move and they renew the earths crust so we actually don't know much about what has been destroyed by the magma in the Earth's core so don't believe everything the scientist tell u. Who are they to tell u that they know more than u, why can't u just go and study the earth about how old it is, because America doesn't have freedom.......
