Okay, so I have been talking to this guy for a while now and he just told me that he likes me. There is a problem you see, i don't like him in that way, but I really do like talking to him. Just to talk about anything in life. He keeps asking me out, but I know that I would feel uncomfortable around him because I know that he likes me and I don't know how to respond to that. I don't want to hurt his feelings or anything like that. friendship is all I want really. So what am I to do , I don't want to hurt his feelings. I know that if I continue talking to him, I might mislead him. What is my best possible approach to this?

I forgot to add that I did tell him that friendship is all I seek, but I feel that even through all that, he thinks that there is still a chance.

You have to be truthful and honest with him and let him know that you are only interested in friendship. If you are not truthful with him, then you will wind up misleading him and he'll think there is a chance that you'll be his Valentine.
Do it gently, but do it none-the-less, hunny. You gotta tell him that you want to be just friends! Plutonic!

I think you should just sit down with him and tell him. Make sure he understands and tell him i dont want to hurt you and i want us to remain friends.

Talk to him open.... If he really likes you as you told he would understand and would not want you to lose as a friend

tell him exactly how you feel. that you dont want to hurt his feelings, you really like him, but just not that way. Be honest.

tell him openly that u dont like him to be ur boyfrnd or anything ,just tell him openly that u want him as a frnd but u dont want him to be ur boyfrnd.who knows it may work
