I know most tax refund anticipation loans are a bad deal, but does anyone know which RAL has the lowest fees?

Considering that the typical APR of a RAL is around 2,500%, they're worse than going to a loan shark or payday loan store.

I called around a couple of the local tax prep mills asking APR information and could not get a straight answer from any of them. The all implied that it depended upon the amount of my refund and that they could not quote rates on the phone. That's probably illegal; APRs must be clearly and plainly stated in advance.

If you do your taxes online at online-taxes.com, they give you a RAL option thru SBBT.....

I'm pretty sure the MAXIMUM fee is around $120, including federal preparation fees.....much lower than everyone else!
