The holy quran says :ALLAH GUIDES WHOM HE WILLS AND LETS ASTRAY WHOM HE WILLS.
It also says:WHO SO EVER ALLAH GUIDES NO ONE CAN LEAD HIM ASRAY AND WHO SO EVER ALLAH LEADS ASTRAY NO ONE CAN LEAD HIM.
So you see people have already been classified before they were born and there is nothing we can do about it. Why bother ourselves with prayers and fasting?

Yes, you have been classified but you do not know your classification, do you? What you choose to do in your life puts you riht in the place Allah meant for you to be (that you did not know but earned).
Now if you decide not to pray or fast; you will go astray, yes? Did anyone force you to do this? It is a choice you made. Does this make sense?
If it does not, leave it all together and stick to the belief that Allah is Fair. Or do you question this as well?

If tou dont pray and fast then u r among those hu hav been led astray and if u do pray and fast then u r amongst those hu have been guided. Whether u will go to hell for not praying or fasting is up to Allah, not anyone hu has been on earth.

Omar those that believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ know their salvation and he leads no man to hell he does not deceive or lie. Allah claims to be the God of Abraham but the God of Abraham never deceives yet Allah says in 4:157 they were made to believe that Jesus was crucified...Considering the prophesies of the prophet that Christ was going to atone for sin this would be a very cruel deception for God to do and according to the Qu'ran he did and he did not reveal this deception until the Qu'ran which was 600 years after Jesus..The Allah of the Qu'ran can not be the God of Abraham or the God of the Bible as he says he is.
God is righteous and man is not God knew that man would fall and the wages of sin is death...God had a plan of salvation for man before the creation of the world and this plan was to pay the penalty of death for you. The son of God came to the world to overcome temptation as a man and to remain perfect and to sacrifice his flesh for you that you might become a new creature and be forever with your God.

one of the sahaba had the same guestion i can't remember the exact answer but it is somthing like this: you don't know if you are from those who are guided or those who are led astray (you don't know what Allah has chosen for you) so you have to pray, fast and all the other things so hopefully you will be from those whom Allah has guided.
I pray to Allah that you will be guided.

you should read and understand the whole verse.Every words are related to the other word to make it strong.If you just take a part and related it to the other part the meaning could be anything and that that make you more confused.God given us two ways of life with the full guidelines, the straight way and the wrong way and its all up to us to choose.If we choose the straight way guideline, we will be safe in and after life and if we choose the wrong way guideline, we will be empty and lost in and afterlife.
You can skip your pray and fasting as you like and be un grateful to GOD but GOD have nothing to loose.Its you are losing.
