it means a sub category of a larger....ie. "painting, sculpture and architecture are all ________ of art." not 'types' 'categories' 'persuasions' ....it's driving me crazy

thanks everyone...but I got it....discipline. Am I using it correctly????If someone tells you they are studying art, can you ask, "what discipline???" ?
