I have to pull on it and it will pop, but man does it hurt while doing it.

No don't try bending your glasses yourself, or you may end up with a useless, broken pair of glasses! Definitely go have them adjusted in an optical, as they have the equipment and some spare parts on hand to do repairs with. No offense to Wal-Mart, but when I was younger and went there for my glasses, they didn't seem to do as much as far as adjustments, and they make you purchase any replacement parts before they will replace them for you. Most other opticals won't charge you for minor repairs and adjustments, even if the glasses weren't purchased from there. Make sure the optician who adjusts your glasses feels or looks behind your ears to make sure that they are bent correctly to fit comfortably behind your ears... If they don't, take your business elsewhere, or ask for another optician's opinion on how your glasses are fitting.

This sounds like an improper adjustment. The earpiece is pressing on the back of your ear, and this causes problems not only externally with your ear, but can also cause internal ear pain.
My suggestion would be to have your glasses adjusted. It's the weekend here, and many conventional vision centers are closed, but if you go to one in a mall or in a place like Wal-Mart, they are usually glad to adjust glasses for free even if they were not purchased at their store.

Ear pieces putting too much pressure on your ear/head. If you can't get them adjusted by a pro, try bending them yourself.

Your earpiece is not adjusted correctly. Go back to where you got your glasses and ask them to fix it.
