go to a camera store, they sell cloths and tissues for this, also anti static brushes, all are safe, you have to use one of those or you'll scratch it, also try air in a can. They may do it for you for a fee.

Is there a mirror lock on this camera? You need to check around the body to see if there's any little lever that can move. Another idea - is there a viewfinder blind - a gizmo that blacks out the window you look through to prevent stray light affecting exposure when the camera is on a tripod, say for a long exposure. I don't know where you can get a free user manual - but why not search yahoo groups and look for a Pentax group and re post the question there - perhaps putting the two points I've made. You need to find someone who is used to using the camera.

If you mean the viewfinder, there is no need to clean it, the particles won't show in your pictures.
If you mean the sensor, there are blower brushes and cleaning kits made for cleaning it. It's scary the first time, but just be careful and follow directions and you will be fine

If it is digital... go to camera store and have them clean it for you... it is too easy to scratch the display chip or mirror
