I just let it update after months of fear and anxiety since everytime I let MS update anything on my computer, everything turns to crap.

Well, now my mp3 icons have changed to something that looks unatural. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Do you like this better? Any problems with your files??

I had no problems with upgrading to media player 10, now I have upgraded to media player 11 and i like it a little more than 10, they are both good stable versions. I have been using 11 since the forst beta came out and have had no problems with it, but now the full version is available.

Recently upgraded my personal computers to Windows 10. Initially it worked well and there were no issues. But now, I m unable to use "Edge". I click the icon, but there isn t any action. I m still able to access and use Firefox and Chrome but not Edge. This is on both of my home computers, a Dell Laptop and a HP Desktop. Anyone have an idea what s causing the problem?

Yes, I upgraded. I didn't experience any problems. I have XP, and it's true that WMP 10 changes the media file icons to a new look, which I think is better because it identifies the file type.

Make sure you have the latest updates for Windows via http://www.windowsupdate.com , particularly (Service Pack 2) SP2 , if you have XP.

WMP 10 always worked fine for me. I stuck with 10 for a while before updating to 11. I finally got it setup the way I want it.

After installing Windows Media Player, it will associate with the .MP3 file type. To change this, click on 'My Computer', Tools, Folder Options, File Types.
Scroll down until you find the .MP3 extension. Click the 'Change' button to pick a different application to open Mp3 files, such as Winamp.

Nope, WMP 10 works fine for me... I updated it to WMP 11 and it's even better. More security and performance.

You chunked a havoc by upgrading.
its bad very bad.......i tried it and it ruined my privacy and invited many of its bug friends that keep coming in like monsters.

so far usage is concerned 10 is gorgeous, it has simpler tools, great variety of openable files and portfolios, it recognizes its known types by itself.
I like it most when its minimized.

Its Exotic.

Everything works fine. No problems here. Icons are different but you'll get used to it.
