After a camping trip I started having weird symptoms, I weathered them for a while before finally seeing a doctor. The doctor did no tests and said I was really over anxious, so I went off again for a few more months but more symptoms came and the others never went away. Its been about 6-7 months now and I still have these symptoms which sound a lot like Lyme Disease, I'm seeing a doctor Tuesday. So will it be too late for any effective treatment or what? I'm 18 years old.

From your list of symtoms (which you definitely are not imagining!) you could have Lyme disease. Did you get an insect bite which left a circular rash that gradually expanded, then disappeared after about a month? If so, you almost certainly have LD.
But do not worry too much. My guess is that you had it in your system already (it can lay dormant for years!) and another bite was too much for your system to cope with any more. At your age, I think it best to avoid antibiotics (the outcome is very uncertain) and let your body fight it. It will take months, but will get there in the end, IF you listen to your body and let it rest as much as it needs. Remember, you feel ill because you ARE ill! Just like with any other illness, your body needs all its energy to fight the illness so makes you go to bed for a few days. In this case, a few months, but that is OK.
Sorry, if you have it, you will need patience. Even with treatment, it can be a long haul. Best let your body do the work itself.
Best of luck. Please get in touch if you would like to know more - I suffer myself so have done a lot of research!!

It wold have been better if you had caught it sooner but it is still treatable and you are young enough that your body will likely heal.

BUT

save your worry about that until you are diagnosed with Lymes. You did not mention a big bite and ringed sore which are the site(s) of the initial infection. My bet is that you have that really nasty virus that went all over the west coast in November.. it takes MONTHS to pass.. goes away.. comes back.. goes away... comes back

Comes back with a vengence if yo like long hot showers or baths... does that fit YOUR case?

either way.. good luck.. drop me a line and let me know how it came out.

You're actually sounding like a hypochondriac. If you say that your symptoms are like lyme disease then you already did the reasearch yourself.

Go ahead an go to the doctor. Trust in what he says. If you want a second opinion, get one. If both doctors agree, prepare yourself to face the fact that you might have been imagining these symptoms.

I can't personally say whether you have any disease or not. Only your doctor can say that.
