PLEASE DONT SAY "YOU SHOULD QUIT" OR "SMOKING IS BAD" OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!! MY LIFE, MY CHOICE! For the past 2 years, i have probbably smoked 1 cigarette a month. The first time I smoked I got a really upset stomach. Lately, I've been smoking about 1 a day and sometimes afterwards I get a upset stomach. If I smoke one in the morning and one at night, i get a upset stomach. I take tums and it doesnt make it better. What is it... is it just something that will go away in time?

I'm a smoker, too.. And I've noticed that I get nauseated if I smoke a cigarette on an empty stomach. ...Maybe this is your problem, too?

Or your body could be rejecting the niccotine?

It maybe because you're swallowing saliva that is laden with tar and nicotine. Nicotine is very irritating to the stomach. It's more noticeable if you are a cigar smoker. Some people spit out their saliva while smoking a stogie because swallowing it gives them a nauseous feeling. When I smoke a cigar, I usually need to have a beverage at hand to prevent this nausea because I don't spit the saliva out.

The nicotine in cigarettes is a stimulant. Especially on an empty stomach, you are irritating your stomach and intenstines. Or you could have an ulcer which you are irritating by smoking.

cigarette smoke has something like 4000 chemicals in it. 60 or so are known carcinogens.
I would say that perhaps your body is sensitive to some of those chemicals and reacts with an upset stomach.

Because nicotine increases the amount of stomach acid produced.
You may build a tolerance to it or you may have to eat a cracker after smoking.

i had a similar problem after i took a "break" from smoking but I found that I had forgotten to smoke correctly and was swallowing some of the smoke. next time pay extra attention to how you breathe.

You already know what the problem is. You just don't wanna admit it. If you wanna put your freedom to smoke above your health then you deserve everything you get.

I certainly wouldn't put my freedom to jump off a cliff before anything else.

Your grammar is as bad as your smoking habit. You get "AN" upset stomach. Not "A" upset stomach. As you said it's your life your choice. You deserve the upset stomach.
